| Description: HOLLAND & HOLLAND - 12g. A really nice example of a classic vintage game gun. Cased Number 3 in Grade C. Back Lock action - 2 ½ “ - 12 g. Ejector Shotgun. Completed by Holland and Holland in 1911 for Mr. Boswell with 30 inch barrels, left barrel improved cylinder and right barrel modified chokes, internally clean and bright without marks, some minor marks on the exterior of the barrels. Tight action, beautiful balance. Made originally with a 15 ½ ” stock, now has an excellent straight game 14 ½ ” restock with a splinter fore-end, by Russell Waghorn – Melbourne, Side lock plates marked “H&H” with conservative border engraving. The number 3 became known as the “Dominion” model in 1934. ………………… Complete with genuine Holland and Holland brass bound, blue lined, leather gun case. ………………… Holland and Holland have recently commenced making backlocks again. ………………… David Winks, who worked for Holland & Holland for many decades regarded the Dominion back lock models as “robust, simple and well-balanced, one of my favourite guns”.
