May to August provides a unique wingshooting experience having developed a solid reputation for excellence in providing formal driven and walked up shoots, recognised by the endorsement of Beretta with the only trident awarded in the South Pacific region. Spring sees the onset of Tasmania’s best and prolific Mayfly hatches. Twelve kilometres of lake frontage offer the dry fly enthusiast the perfect opportunity to experience Tasmania’s best Red Spinner hatch. A world class sporting clay range, utilised all year, provides a number of layouts which simulate the wingshooting experience including Grouse butts, sporting layout simulated Quail stand and driven shooting. Wingshooting packages include a half day of Sporting clays and simulated stands as a warm up prior to shooting. Whatever your outdoor interests include; fly fishing, shooting, photography, relaxing, bush walking or fine dining, after a day out in the fresh air; Currawong Lakes can accommodate your needs with a day, weekend or week specifically tailored to meet your requirements. Currawong Lakes offers four star self contained accommodation in two bedroom cabins overlooking the lakes. Guests can sit on their balcony enjoying the dazzling sunsets while contemplating the next day’s activities. Overnight guests are welcome to make use of our dining facilities or by prior booking can arrange restaurant dining, located on the shores of Lake Currawong. Corporate groups of up to 20 are welcome and packages can be tailored to include accommodation and dining.
