| Description: Alcock & Pierce, Melbourne, FN (Browning) 12 G. Field Gun Non-ejector, 2 ¾ inch chambers; 30 inch blued steel barrels, Liege proved. Barrels engraved “Alcock & Pierce, Melbourne”; overall very good condition. In its original period leatherette casing with Trade label of Alcock & Pierce, Melbourne, together with 3 piece hickory cleaning rod, pouch with bore brushes, and tin of Burr’s oil. Name of a prior owner written inside lid of case. Could be dated by Alcock & Pierce phone number “Central 1537” on label, certainly pre WW2. Tight action; fine bores; small dent to left muzzle, hardy discernable; horn buttplate; chequered grip and for-end; a great gun for vintage shooting. SPECIAL $850.00 |
