| Description: Re: Request for Photos of "Carvings" and "Mismatched" Serial Numbers on M95 "Boer" Mausers: I have a request to make: Since my last "Part Two" book on Boer War rifle carvings, I have collected a further 100+ photos of "Carvings" and engravings on other Boer War weapons (from all corners of the globe). All these Rifles & names are researched and documented in my new manuscript. Should you come across any more rifles with carvings, or should you receive any for sale on your site, would you be so kind to let me know ? I am really 'passionate' about recording all these historic rifles (and the historties that I research) for future generations (this may sound 'noble' - but it is true). I acknowledge all the names of collectors & people who supply photos, and I would of course do likewise with any you are able to send to me. List of "Mismatched" Serial Numbers on M95 "Boer" Mausers: Likewise, I am keeping a record of all the "mismatched" Bolts so often found on Boer War Mausers (eg: S/No's on Bolts do not match te actions). My "Part Two" book has 4 or 5 pages - listing all the serial numbers I have encountred to date. Since this list, I have received dozens more of these "mismatched" serial numbers. Together with a Collector society in South Africa, we are attempting to build up a "Master List" - for access by any collectors. Should you come across any such 'mismatched' serial No's on M95 Mausers (only), I would be grateful if you would let me know .
