For sale, on consignment, a very nice example of the famous, collectable Darne of St Etienne, France sliding breech 12 bore shotgun.
This V Series - Grade V19 shotgun presents in very good vintage condition.
St Etienne Proof House marks "XXX St Etienne" and "PT" surmounted by a single Crown shows the gun was proven for Nitro Powder [960kg/cm2]. 9 Darne Punch Marks = Grade V19
Barrels: Sound 27.5" or 70 cm blued steel side x side barrels
Chambers: 2.5" or 65 mm
Chokes: Modified and Full
Stock: One piece French walnut stock/forend with horn tip and butt plate.
Action: Regis Darne sliding breech [one step opening] - auto ejectors, upper barrel bolt and closing discs.
Engraving: Hand engraved - acanthus and scroll
Triggers: Twin, right hand articulated
Safety: Manual side safety
This shotgun presents in very good used condition - with cosmetic storage/handling marks commensurate with age. Tight action and bright, clean bores.
