Australian felt lined leather sling
Built in 1977 ( online research ) when Winchester was at the height of its manufacturing and known for quality fit and finish.
Bluing has ware only on edges, from bag. The rest is deep blued and shiny, as are the rings.
The barrel is in exellent condition, with a clean muzzle and unworn chamber.
The action is tight and has very little ware as seen in photos.
Trigger is smooth and crisp as was built in time before lawyers made factory setting heavy.
There is binding on the stock at the pistol grip. There is no hidden damage or split on the stock. My thought is it was done to aid grip, as an alternative to checkering by previous owner.
If the buyer wished it would be easy remove and to refinish stock.
The scope is an early 90s Nikko Sterling and functions perfectly.
Has standard cross hair reticle and good clear glass as it was the top of the line for Nikko Sterling at the time.
The 1.5 to 5 is great for quick shots on running rabbits or foxes, but also good for longer shots with a rest.
