This bayonet is in very good condition. The bright blade has been tastefully sharpened with no rust evident. It incudes the makers mark M78 (Elkington) and pattern No. 7 Mk1/L. The red grips are in excellent condition with one stamped "England". The swivel pommel works as it should and retains a high percentage of its black paint. The cross-guard is less well-endowed with paint, but is clean with no rust. The scabbard is the basic No.5, and includes a very well marked webbing frog.
