Overview
Rugged and rowdy, right down to its very core. The BLR Lightweight ’81 Stainless is ready to take on the toughest hunting conditions. Complete with a satin finish on the laminated grey hardwood stock, satin-nickel finish on the receiver and matte finish on the stainless barrel. The TRUGLO/Marbles fibre-optic front sight lets you draw a fine bead in low light conditions. This is what a serious lever-action hunting rifle should be, and what every other lever-action wishes it was.
Quick takedown. The takedown models of the BLR are unique, allowing you to simply flip a finger lever, twist the receiver and barrel 90 degrees and instantly separate the two parts for space-saving storage or easy transportation. Reassembly is in reverse order and takes only seconds.
Scout style. The barrel on BLR Takedown models is factory drilled and tapped for an optional Browning forward-mounted scout-style scope base to provide a rock-solid optics mounting platform.

Cowboy Guns and Gear originated from a small shop built on the side of our shed on the family farm 30kms out of town. In 2013 we decided to start operating fulltime and the business moved into a small shop in the back streets of Cowra. It became quite obvious that these premises were going to be outgrown very quickly. With the increase in business not only in Cowra and surrounding areas but also interstate with phone and mail orders, the decision was made to find a bigger and better store. In May of 2015 we moved into a massive premise in the main street of Cowra. This move has allowed us to expand our existing product range as well as add new product ranges to suit the needs of our valued customers.
All of our staff are regular shooters both hunting and competitive and can boast of State, National and even World titles in the competitive sport of Single Action Shooting. With the advance knowledge in Single Action shooting we are able to assist our customers with all the information and advice they need to get started in the sport. We stock all equipment needed to participate as well as being renowned for our competition race ready firearms. These firearms are completely worked by our gunsmith and ready for use out of the box.
