It has a blued finish with rubber grips, and 5″ (127mm) barrel. The Colt 1911 still defines the standard for modern day semi-automatic pistols. The 1911 was the standard US military sidearm from 1911 to 1985 and the M45 CQB model is now being issued to the US Marine Corp. It is also frequently used by civilians, law enforcement, and military forces throughout the world today.
