Selling for a Customer/collector on consignment a rare and unique piece of Australian history ($12-15k to replace) this superb Custom rifle is built by Jack miller (as advised by the owner) on the time proven Sako L61R action with well executed scroll engraving on the floorplate, action and even scope rings by the late & great phil Vini combe(with his initials) and tastefully executed nicely figured well-shaped stock work by Geoff Slee making this a superb unique custom sporting rifle in excellent condition. The rifle is chambered in the Classic & easily available 35 Wheelan cartridge with similar power to the great 9.3 x 62 Mauser and sports a nicely black blued barrel for full ballistic performance and the well figured straight stock with shadow line check piece and quality Pachmayr recoil pad and comes complete with period Leupold VX11 3-9 x40mm scope. This is a beautifully balanced highly desirable and collectable Custom Sako L61R in a very useable and practical large game calibre and a great chance for the enthusiast or shooter to own an ideal example of some of the best-known Australian artisans.
