Beretta 12 GA Field 28” Side by Side Shotgun

Selling for a customer on consignment as he no longer requires it his older Beretta SXS field shotgun with strong greener style cross bolt, extractor, 28-inch barrels full and half choke barrels, original butt plate with logo and unaltered 365mm 14.5 inches LOP The top of each barrel is marked "ALLOY CHROMIUM ELECTRIC STEEL / SPECIAL TYPE AUSONIA" in front of the chambers. The left of the left barrel at the chamber is marked "PIETRO BERETTA - GARDONE V.T. / MADE in ITALY", the right of the right barrel is marked "CAL. 12". The top of the rib at the rear is marked "BERETTA" and with a Beretta rings and arrows logo. The bottom of the left barrel is marked "Kg 1,530 18,4 17,8", the bottom of the right is marked "18,4 / 70", and "17,8 17,6". Each side of the barrel flat is marked "CHOKE", crown over "PB", and "BERETTA", the left flat is also marked with date code "XI" ( MEANING 1955) , "96538" and the right flat is also marked with Italian proofs, "12", The top inside of the forend iron is marked "96538" The water table is marked "P. BERETTA - Gardone V.T.", "96538", "12" in circle, and with three Italian proofs. The bottom of the receiver is marked "MONOBLOC / BERETTA" and a silver bird in flight. The receiver side has scroll, floral and border engraving. The top of the lever has PB embossed and a chequered opening lever . Overall, a nice old gun in very good condition for its age that looks like a Silverhawk model & would be deal for the beretta collector or make a great field or general-purpose side by side shotgun.
