Lithgow No1Mk3 HT sniper rifles

A PAIR of the legendary Lithgow No1MkIII HT Sniper rifles in the high mount configuration. Serial 21135/9. Front sight cover, sling, scope can, owen gun bayonet with mangrovite scabbard, no magazine lock off, 2000yd rear sight. 1918 pattern Aust scope with leather scope caps, electro penciled serials, one with cheekpiece and one without. Formerly from a well known collector, these are two of three No1MK3 HT sniper rifles I have that are sequentially serialized ex Lithgow for the DOD contract issued in 1944 and completed thereafter. https://lithgowsafmuseum.org.au/milproduction.html#sniper 'The HT was produced in three butt lengths, high or low mounted scope, and with or without a cheek pad. Between November 1944 and February 1946 approximately 1612 were produced. The Australian made detachable telescope fitted to this rifle was 'Sight Telescopic Pattern 1918 (Aust)' and is 3 power.' This pair ships in a converted bren gun case as per original packaging from stores. The case has a couple of refreshed panels internally. A truly remarkable pair of Lithgow sniper rifles to fill out any reputable collection.
