Manhattan Arms Co Boot Pistol c1860

Offered here is a very good single shot American boot pistol from the Manhattan Arms Co of New York, made around 1860. The .36 caliber, rifled, octagonal to round barrel measures 4 inches with the whole pistol measuring 7 ½ inches. The bar hammer is marked ‘MANHATTAN ARMS Co / NEWYORK’. The screw off barrel is stamped ‘CAST STEEL’ and is numbered ‘122’. This number also appears inside the trigger guard. The action is in good working order. The walnut grips are in good condition as is the rest of the pistol. Sold as a collector item only. Price incudes shipping within Australia, layby available.
