The rifle remains substantially in its original long-term protective storage wrapping, with the original butt label still present and clearly marked: “RIFLE No. 4 Mk 2 / NORMAL BUTT / FAZ MAY 1955 / NEW” Receiver markings are visible through an opened section (Was a legal requirement) of the wrapping and read: No 4 MK 2 UF 55 A11632 The original paper wrapping shows some age-related deterioration, but the cosmoline is intact and remains in place. The rifle has not been further unwrapped, preserving its current collector condition and originality.
