Marked Right hand side Rupertus' Pat Pistol MFG Co Philad. LH side marked Rupertus Pat July19 1864. 8 shot Pepperbox cal .22RF Short. Barrels are removed to load and reload with the Ramrod which is spring held in the centre of the barrels. See photo. Barrels are removed by taking out the ramrod which is held by the splayed spring and then remove the revolver pin with a screw driver. Good nickel or silver plate with ebonized grips in good condition. Barrels are very well made (engineered) with silver blued finish. Repair to hammer nose. In working condition. Barrel is 3" long and the revolver is 5 1/2" over all. Rare 8 shot RF American pepperbox. C1864 - 1870. Reg in S.A.
