For sale on consignment, a magnificent example of the legendary highly collectable Browning B25 FCS Special Skeet 12 bore superposed shotgun.
This B25, which was hand made in 1976, at Browning’s Herstal, Belgium factory, would make an excellent, fast handling field gun for game birds.
Lock
B25 box lock action – beautifully hand engraved by Browning engraver H Humblet [signature to bottom tang].
Single, wide, chequered selective trigger.
Manual safety - barrel selector to top tang.
Firm, right hand top lever.
Stock
Well figured European walnut stock with tears drops and sharp skip line chequer, pistol grip and polyamide butt plate.
Semi-beavertail forend.
Length of pull 362 mm.
Drop at Comb 39.5 mm.
Drop at Heel 63.5 mm.
Cast off 4 mm.
Barrels
Blue Steel Superpose 70 cm ventilated rib barrels engraved “Fabrique Nationale d’Armes de Guerre Herstal, Belgique” with bright, clean shiny bores.
12 mm matt top rib with white bead fore sight.
70 mm or 2 ¾” chambers with strong, well-timed ejectors.
Chokes fixed – Skeet/Improved Cylinder and Skeet/Improved Cylinder.
Total weight about 3.25 kg.
This collectable well maintained B25 presents in excellent, barely used condition – with minor, cosmetic storage/handling marks. Mechanically the shotgun is in excellent condition.
Complete in its original Browning box with owner's manual.
