A rare opportunity to acquire an exceptional example of the legendary FN Browning B25 12-gauge presentation grade superposed shotgun.
A special order, this B25 was hand made for King Hassan II of Morocco in 1965, at Browning’s Herstal, Belgium factory.
Lock
B25 box lock action with magnificent floral engraving and white - yellow gold inlay with Bulino style shading – by Browning’s then chief engraver Andre Watkin [signature to side plate].
Single, articulated trigger – filed and blued.
Manual safety - barrel selector to top tang.
Firm, right hand top lever.
Stock
Superb dark, exhibition grade European walnut stock with a Price of Wales style grip, tear drops and fine skip line chequer.
Gold escutcheon engraved “HM” [Hassan of Morocco].
Length of pull 14 3/4” Drop at Heel 2 3/8” Drop at Comb 1 7/16” Slight cast off for right hand shooters.
Three-piece walnut forend – with crisp, fine point pattern chequer Schnabel tip and gold inlaid screws and fine point skip line pattern chequer.
Barrels
Superpose or over and under 28” ventilated rib barrels engraved “Fabrique Nationale d’Armes de Guerre Herstal, Belgique” with bright, clean bores.
.3” or 8mm matt top rib with brass bead fore sight.
2 ¾” chambers with strong, well-timed ejectors.
Chokes fixed Modified [Over] and Full [Under]
Weight 7lbs 7oz or about 3.37kg
This rare and collectable B25 presents in excellent, gently used condition – with minor, cosmetic storage/handling marks. Mechanically the shotgun is in excellent condition.
