This secondhand Webley & Scott 38 MARK IV 38S&W with 3" Barrel is in Very Good overall used condition. May have some cosmetic usage imperfections. Some Blueing on cylinder Fading.
The Webley Revolver (also known as the Webley Top-Break Revolver or Webley Self-Extracting Revolver) was, in various designations, a standard issue service pistol for the armed forces of the United Kingdom, and countries of the British Empire and the Commonwealth of Nations, from 1887 to 1970.
The Webley is a top-break revolver and breaking the revolver operates the extractor, which removes cartridges from the cylinder. The Mk IV rose to prominence during the Boer War of 1899–1902. As of 1999, the .38/200 Webley Mk IV variant was still in use as a police sidearm in a number of countries. (1957- 1965) numbers B1- B28599 This particular revolver falls between this time frame.
