Offered for sale is this very nice old school US made .22LR target pistol we acquired from a retiring elderly shooter who practically owned it since new.
With a 5.5'' barrel this is completely club & range legal & with the adjustable rear sights, this would be an excellent choice for competitive pistol shooting.
High Standard target pistols were manufactured in a variety of models in .22 Short & .22 LR chamberings for use in competition. A significant selling point was the similarity in grip angle & manual safety location to the M1911A1 series, a pistol common in service pistol competition. Manufactured from 1926 until 2018, High Standards are generally regarded as a classic .22 target pistol & were common in national-level NRA Bullseye match shooting. The HS barrels were excellent & Don Nygord competed with a customized High Standard 'Sport King' in the 1995 Pan Am Games using the factory barrel to take Silver in Standard Pistol class.
This example is 'The Sharpshooter' & was manufactured in 1978 according to records & presents very well, as can be seen in the photos & comes with one magazine.
These pistols are great .22LR rimfire pistols for club comps & are capable of serious competition shooting if desired or just fun plinking at the range.
If you want old school for around the same as a modern pistol, this may be your gun.
We think we have described it accurately but please make your decision based on the photos as these form the main description & override all other. For many more, visit:

We believe we have described it correctly but do not claim to be infallible so if we have got anything wrong, it is unintentional & are happy for feedback from people who know more than we do.
Whilst we check these out for serviceability, the warranty has expired & this is sold on an 'as is' basis. As with all used guns, we recommend you have this checked by a suitably qualified person prior to shooting.
Standard shipping is $55 for all for metro shipping bar WA, otherwise call for a cost to your dealer.
