Awaiting import & due around September (depending on variables) is this all matching example of a WW1 P14 correctly chambered in .303 which is in original condition including retaining the volley sights & Unit disc!
The Pattern 14 was designated the P14 Mk I & was intended to replace the Enfield No.1 MkIII but WW1 came along & for obvious reasons Great Britain chose not to switch rifles during a war.
When the US entered the war in 1917 they were severely understocked with Springfield 1903’s so arranged for the three US factories then making the P14 for the Brit’s to modify the rifle to chamber the 30-06 which then became famous as the Model of 1917 (M17). The majority of rifles taken to France by the American Expeditionary Forces (AEF) were M17’s.
The P14 saw service in both WW1 & WW2. These rifles were particularly chosen as the preferred platform for Allied snipers.
In 1926 the Pattern 1914 Enfield was re-designated by the British military as the No.3 Mk1.
Of only 1,235,293 rifles made by the three manufacturers, Remington manufactured just 400,000 exactly.
This rifle is in excellent original condition as seen in the photos with the usual marks from service on the stock which can be seen in the photos. The metal work is great with no rust or pitting & it has plenty of finish left. The bore is very good so a shooter.
A P14 is a must have for your .303 collection but one which is absolutely complete is very hard to find & this would definitely have pride of place.
These rarely come along in original configuration, let alone matching numbers & the volley sights are the cherry on top!
These are the only photos we have at this time so make your decision based on what you see, knowing that once here & cleaned, it will be better than what you see now!
This is available to purchase now with a deposit & with our unique refund policy, you can be the one to own this beauty knowing that if you receive it & it's not as described, we will accept it back for a full refund.
If you think this is for you, don't hesitate.
Be quick to be the one who adds this to their collection!
Whilst we check these out for serviceability, the warranty has expired & these are sold on an as is basis.
As with all used guns, we recommend you have this checked by a suitably qualified person prior to shooting.
