* Tubes : Fair only - pitted, consistent for age.
Have used 20 ga. long inserts for years.
* Barrel bluing thinning in areas.
* Front & Centre sights ………. Brass.
* Rib: plain finish …… concave, 11mm to 9mm.
* Action : GWO ……… good lock-up.
* Side Plates / Action: Magnificent,Best London,well
defined engraving.
* Top Lever : Firm, but a fraction off centre line,to left.
* Stock & Forend : checkering fully present & good
cond.,no cracks /splits /bruising.
* Forend : snap action.
* Stock : Displaying STUNNING figure .
*.C & H , “ Avant Tout “ Assisted opening.
* Ebony wood C & H accessories.
This Old School quality, Custom Built gun was built for a member of British Nobility, completed on 22nd.July
1902 & was then resold by C & H on 17th.July 1907 to the Legendary Australian Philanthropist- Grazier &
Entrepreneur Andrew Spence Chernside of Berwick Victoria.
All specifications of this piece are listed on the Cogswell
& Harrison “ Cirtificate of Origin “,included with gun .
Also included are research papers for both orig. owners
A desirable piece of History,with more research to complete.
At 80 yrs Old, the owner wishes he was in same cond.
