This stunning 1911 is in pristine condition.
I've had it since new and it's only consumed 1256 rounds.
Made from stainless steel, the finish on the gun is a combination of high gloss and satin. To accent the gun, there is a "racing stripe" along the slide with the SIG logo in a polished stainless. The components share the same finish, which adds to the gun's classic looks.
The top of the slide is rounded off and has a serrated strip along the top that starts at the rear sight and ends just before the front sight blade. There are traditional cocking serrations at the rear. Slide-to-frame fit is wiggle free.
The extractor is long and reliable, as is the mechanical ejector, located deep within the confines of the frame. The ejection port is extended, rounded off and concave at the rear to help clear the spent rounds, while at the same time keeping them free of dings for all you reloaders.
The match-grade barrel is a full five inches and topped off with a slight bump at the end for a tight fit within the confines of the barrel bushing.
The trigger and hammer are partially skeletonized and the trigger has an over-travel adjustment.
The slide release is wider than normal, which is great for fast reloads when the slide is back and you need to get into action fast. While the ambidextrous safety levers look small, they are comfortable to reach even with target grips. Thanks to some extra thickness near the levers, your shooting-hand thumb just glides over the grip and onto the lever.
The magazine release has been extended to allow full function, again over the thickness of the grip panels. The front and rear of the frame have been precisely serrated, and the beavertail safety features a memory bump.
The beautiful Birchwood grips are exquisitely checkered, incorporate the SIG logo, and extend beyond the frame to create a defacto mag well funnel.
There are hand swells on each side, so it will work for both righties and lefties. The grip panels extend down and beneath the frame for extra shooting comfort.
This is very rare 1911, and definitely the only one currently for sale here in Australia.
The gun came with 2x 8 round magazines, but I also have 6x Chip McCormick 10 round mags and 4x Triple-K 7 round mags, good for shooting Wild Bunch comps.
A Double Alpha Academy 44" shooting belt is included, along with the excellent Alpha-X race holster with removable muzzle support assembly.
There is also 6x DAA magnetic single stack mag pouches.
Finally, I have a pair of regular sized wood grips for Wild Bunch compliance (or just a different look), the original stainless steel grip screws (I fitted gold ones) and the factory instruction manual.
You have everything here to start shooting IPSC, Service Match, or whatever else requires a holster.
I'm willing to sell the handgun, the 8 round mags and instruction manual separately, although I strongly prefer to sell everything together. Call or text for price.
Buyer to pay all transfer and shipping costs.
If you're located in the Melbourne metro area, I can bring the gun to a convenient dealer to avoid transport costs.
Feel free to contact me with any questions.
