There are many German WW2 military handgun designs that are popular & well-known, such as the Luger P.08, the Walther P.38 or the Mauser C96 "Broomhandle." However, another popular & underappreciated design at the time was the Mauser Model 1910 which became the Model 1914, which eventually evolved into the Model 1934, also called Mauser Model 1910/34.

Known by some as the 'Baby Mauser' it was a compact semi auto pistol chambered in 6.35mm (.25 ACP), which was popular with German officers in WW2 & noted for its scarce production & collector value.

We believe this is a 3rd variant as this specific serial number indicates a late 1930's production date, around 1937-1938 & is a significant find for Mauser pocket pistol collectors.

The 6.35mm chambered Model 1914 saw extensive use, as the cartridge was used widely as a military & law-enforcement cartridge in early 20th-century Europe.

It saw service with officers in the Imperial German army during World War I, as well as extensive use in police & civilian circles during the Weimar Republic era & was favoured by high ranking Wehrmacht officers during WW2.

Correctly, this has the Mauser banner on the frame on the left & the roll mark Mauser-Werke A.G. Oberndorf A.N & the S/N on the slide.

On the right side, is the roll mark 6,35-D.R.P.u.A.P. which stands for Deutsches Reich Patent und Ausländische Patente (German and foreign patents) along with the Crown over N commercial Mauser proof marks.

Nicely, it retains the original magazine which has the Mauser banner on the base!

Because the Model 1914 was not the standard military issue pistol it did not fall under the post war restrictions imposed on Germany & so was available to civilian Party members (you needed to be a member of the Nazi Party to be allowed to own a pistol by that time) & popular with German military staff officers who were known to carry smaller, privately purchased pistols such as these.

There is a saying among historians & collectors in relation to German officers & goes a bit like this..."The higher the rank, the smaller the gun".

This comes with the brown leather holster pictured & will be arriving soon as part of our next import from Germany which we expect to be early 2026 & can be purchased with a deposit which is refundable if the gun is not as described when it arrives.

We are offering this pistol as a collectable piece of military history & acknowledge the grievous atrocities committed by the Nazi regime & some of its military, particularly toward the peoples of occupied territory & the Jewish population in Europe. In no way do we condone or glorify the Nazi regime which must be remembered for the vile stain on human history that it was.

Don't miss this chance to add an interesting 3rd Reich pistol without the Nazi insignia on it to your collection.
