The Model 1761 is a new series of rimfire rifles from Anschutz. Designed and produced in Germany it represents years of painstaking research and development and cements Anschutz as the forerunner of rimfire accuracy and technology. The Anschutz model 1761 is available in two stock designs, three barrel lengths and three popular rimfire calibres.
The 1761 MSR features a light walnut, oiled stock with a black composite stippled checkering at points of contact. These modern accents combined with the bold silhouette gives the rifle a distinct modern look whilst staying true to Anschutz’ heritage routs.
RECEIVER
The high precision barrelled action design geometry is inspired by our target rifles
High degree of stiffness with a flat supporting surface and an integrated recoil lug.
Manufactured by highly demanding production processes and gunsmith’s expertise.
Intelligent engineer ensures the ejector can be easily replaced.
The matte surface lends the model 1761 a timeless and resilient appearance.

The small bearing reduces the effort needed to open and to close the bolt.
Symmetrically arranged three-lug locking mechanism for phenomenal precision.
Simple disassembly for care and cleaning.
The high-quality and resistant QPQ coating ensures additional sliding capacity and resistance to wear

The hardened, finely lapped trigger parts allow for a crisp, clean release.
PRECISION BARREL

Calibre change is possible by a qualified gunsmith.
Due to its tenon locking clamps, the barrel can be reinserted with precision every time.

Cowboy Guns and Gear originated from a small shop built on the side of our shed on the family farm 30kms out of town. In 2013 we decided to start operating fulltime and the business moved into a small shop in the back streets of Cowra. It became quite obvious that these premises were going to be outgrown very quickly. With the increase in business not only in Cowra and surrounding areas but also interstate with phone and mail orders, the decision was made to find a bigger and better store. In May of 2015 we moved into a massive premise in the main street of Cowra. This move has allowed us to expand our existing product range as well as add new product ranges to suit the needs of our valued customers.
All of our staff are regular shooters both hunting and competitive and can boast of State, National and even World titles in the competitive sport of Single Action Shooting. With the advance knowledge in Single Action shooting we are able to assist our customers with all the information and advice they need to get started in the sport.
