The X stock provides certain specifications that are tailored specifically for the use of this rifle. The first is a more vertical grip, which improves the handle, looking for a natural position that will provide better consistency to the shooter. The second is a flat fore-end that enhances the contact with the bearing surface and avoids the canting that is so important to achieve consistent accuracy. Third, the high cheekpiece reduces neck muscle fatigue, as does the LOP adjustment with spacers to customize the rifle to each style and scope mount. In short, a stock designed for shooting and varmint hunting.

The heavy steel barrel will allow for competition shooters to have an overall package that has sufficient weight to allow the shooter to get on and stay on target quicker than with a lighter rifle. With a 21.5 mm taper 6, we have a barrel that behaves in a stable and accurate performance.
The Bergara Performance trigger is designed and conceived to optimize the quality and the performance of the shots. With an external weight adjustment, it allows us to customize it to our preference. Although the rifle is not REM700, it is possible to replace the trigger with another REM700 on the market, which allows us endless possibilities, although we all know that it is not necessary, sometimes it is just a matter of choice.

Cowboy Guns and Gear originated from a small shop built on the side of our shed on the family farm 30kms out of town. In 2013 we decided to start operating fulltime and the business moved into a small shop in the back streets of Cowra. It became quite obvious that these premises were going to be outgrown very quickly. With the increase in business not only in Cowra and surrounding areas but also interstate with phone and mail orders, the decision was made to find a bigger and better store. In May of 2015 we moved into a massive premise in the main street of Cowra.
