For sale, on consignment, a superb example of W.W. Greener’s legendary FH 70 Grade Facile Princeps Action Box Lock Ejector 12 Bore Shotgun.
Hand-made around 1925, this high-grade Greener presents in excellent condition – complete in an oak and leather case with vintage accessories.

Engraved serpentine fences
Manual Greener side safety with gold inlaid “Safe” button
Magnificent fine rose and scroll hand engraving to scalloped lock and base plates, trigger guard

Well figured European walnut – slight cast off for the right handed shooter
Semi-pistol grip with classic flat top chequering and a silver escutcheon engraved "TCF"
Length of Pull to centre is 14 ¾” or 375 mm – including ebonite spacer and recoil pad
Well figured walnut splinter forend – again with crisp classic flat top chequering
Firm engraved Deeley & Edge latch and horn forend tip
Barrels
Side by side 30” or 760 mm blued steel barrels
Bright, clean bores well within proof - gauging .731” [R] and .731” [L] 9” from the breech
Sound matt, tapered game rib with brass bead fore sight
Choked Cylinder [R] and Improved Cylinder [L]
70mm or 2 ¾” chambers
Strong, well-timed ejectors
Birmingham Proof House marks show the gun was nitro-proven for 1 ¼ oz loads
This shotgun presents in excellent, gently used condition – with the slight cosmetic handling and storage marks. The barrels fit tightly on the standing breech
The shotgun comes in a period correct leather case fitted with contemporary accessories – including Brass Greener snap caps, turn screw, cocking lever, glass oil bottle, wooden two-piece cleaning rod with jag, mop and brush
