For sale, on consignment, an exceptional example of a Westley Richards Sporting Martini action in the ever classic 303 Nitro British.
Rifle in rare, desirable & superb condition with 95%+ original finish.
Lovely balance with weight between the hands and metalwork beautifully rust blued (please zoom in on pics.).
Excellent bore, bright & shiny with original pretty fiddle backed walnut with nice sharp checkering. Steel butt plate and Horn tipped fore-end with original wedge fastener.
Left hand panel and barrel forward of sights engraved “Westley Richards & Co. London”.
Rifle fitted magnificent sighting leaves. First leave standing (100 yards) plus folding leaves 200, 300, 400, 500, 600 & 700 yards with ladder sight for longer distances. Likely sighted & regulated for the 215gn. projectile.
Barrel proofing, For WR 303 SPECIAL CARTRIDGE Nitro proof.
