Originally developed by Primary Weapons Systems (PWS), the Summit is a toggle-locking, straight-pull action designed to accommodate the Ruger 10/22 ecosystem.
Recently it was taken over by Volquartsen Firearms who are known for making good guns better & lighter.
Designed for both competition shooting as well as small game hunting, this unique rifle features the CNC-machined receiver with an integral 20 MOA Picatinny Rail, making it the perfect rifle for any rimfire long range shooting.
This innovative design is built for everyone from the junior just getting into shooting to the accomplished competitor.
Summit models were built using lightweight carbon fiber barrels featuring a muzzle threaded 1/2 x 28 & this rifle is fitted with a flash suppressor.
As can be seen in the photos, this rifle is fitted into a Magpul Stock in the 'Digi-Cam' style & looks quite smart!
This is fitted with a clear ('cos it's almost new) Hawke Vantage 3-9x40 scope which is perfectly good for this rifle.
As pictured, this combination would cost you somewhere in the mid $2,000's so you should buy this & then buy a ton of ammo with the savings (or buy 1/2 a tank of fuel)
This would be an excellent choice for a hunter because it's light & has a very fast action for those wascally wabbits or alternatively, throw a bipod on & hit the range!
