Made in the Lithgow Factory during 1942
Matching numbers on action, bolt, butt-stock and nose-cap.
Barrel is a 'H' (Heavy) barrel which is near new, shiny, and stops a .301" bore gauge at muzzle.Original Coachwood stock, which has been worn smooth in a few places and has the normal bumps and marks accumulated over the last 84 odd years. Has been used as a Service Target rifle as evidenced by the rough removal of some wood from stock to accommodate a rear aperture target sight. Tall front sight blade stamped 'Rawson'. A good honest old rifle.
