For sale on consignment, a magnificent example of the legendary Browning Model B25 Custom D5G 12-gauge superposed shotgun.
Hand made in 1990 at Browning’s Custom Shop, Herstal, Belgium this Custom DG5 presents in immaculate, barely used condition.
Lock
Browning B25 box lock action – featuring spectacular hand engraving by Browning engraver S. Purgal [signature to bottom tang].
Single, wide, chequered selective trigger.
Manual safety - barrel selector to top tang.
Firm, right hand top lever.
Stock
Beautifully figured dark European walnut stock featuring tear drops and sharp chequer with mullered borders.
Pistol grip and firm three-piece forend.
Length of Pull 362 mm or 14 ¼” length of pull to centre – including 24 mm or 1” Browning recoil pad and spacer.
Barrels
“Special Steel” Superposed – Over and Under 76 cm or 30” gloss blue barrels.
Chrome lined bores are immaculate – bright, clean and shiny.
Engraved “Browning Arms Company Morgan Utah & Monteal PQ” and “Made in Belgium by Fabrique Nationale Herstal”
Sound 12 mm ventilated top rib with twin white bead sights.
70 mm or 2 ¾” chambers with strong, well-timed ejectors.
Fixed chokes – Improved Modified [O] and Improved Cylinder [U].
Overall length about 119 cm or 47
Total weight about 3.25 kg.
This high grade, collectable B25 D5G presents in as new, barely used with superb fit and finish to metal and woodwork. Mechanically the shotgun is in excellent condition.
This collectable, investment grade Custom D5G comes in its original Browning Custom Shop case – fitted with oil bottle and snap caps.
