.280 Ross cal.; 5 rnd. integral mag.; 26" barrel with f. to g. bore, rifling is v. well-defined but scattered patches of light oxidation scale throughout, needs a thorough clean; strong original blued finish to metalwork has developed a slight dark patina overall & some light oxidation staining but presents well; top of breech marked ROSS RIFLE CO../ CANADA. M-1910/ PATENTED, top of barrel marked 280 ROSS/ PROVED 28 TONS; breech & barrel marked with Dominion Canadian proof; action cycles freely, strong springs & sears; flip up 0-500 V-notch leaf sight with platinum sighting line, pinned silver blade front sight, peep sight to top of action; walnut stock presents well, some light handling marks but chequering to forestock & grip is sharply-defined chequering; original knurled steel buttplate; overall in g. wo & g. to vg. cond. #10297 L/R A classic rifle in the makers own calibre, would grade up significantly with some TLC
