For sale, on consignment, a spectacular Les Bauska action dangerous game bolt action repeating rifle in .416 Rigby by Century Arms and Geoff Slee.
We understand Geoff imported the Bauska action and had the rifle made as a hunting for himself.
The Bauska Action, often known as the BBK-02, is a highly respected, heavy-duty magnum Mauser-style bolt action. Designed and custom-built by the late Les Bauska in Kalispell, Montana, USA.
The BBK-02 action is uniquely tailored for large, dangerous game cartridges like the .416 Rigby. It features a double-square bridge for secure scope mounting, a solid left wall, and an integral "C" ring and is equipped with a Winchester Model 70-style three-position safety and a third locking lug.
Beautifully figured select grade walnut stock with buffalo horn forend tip by Geoff Slee. Pistol grip - with engraved steel grip cap with trap door. Right hand cheek piece, fine diamond point chequer with mullered border.
Tapered blue barrel with ramped blade foresight and quarter rib with one folding leaf and one standing rear sight. Barrel band with sling eye.
Barrel length: 26" or 66 cm
Length of Pull: 14 1/4" or 36 cm to centre including recoil pad
Overall weight: 12 lbs or 5.4 kg - unloaded
Overall length: 47 1/2" or 121 cm
Swarovski Z6 1-6x24 EE [rare extended eye relief version - now discontinued] scope with 4A duplex reticle and quick detachable mounts included. The scope is excellent condition with a bright clear lens.
This rifle presents in excellent, gently used and well maintained condition - bright, clean bore with sharp rifling. Crisp trigger. Smooth bolt action feeds and ejects flawlessly. Minor cosmetic handling and storage marks.
Reloading dies, Hornady brass and Woodleigh projectiles included. Reloaded rounds available if collected locally.
