Pre-Remington, Connecticut-made Marlins are among the most sought-after modern lever-action rifles on the market today & they command a premium among knowledgeable buyers.
Made in 1997, well before the sale to Remington & chambered in the versatile .357/.38SPL calibre, this presents as best as you can hope for, as the pictures show.
This example was made in 1997, before the decline in quality & it displays the cross bolt safety that everyone wants.
It has the nice, dark walnut with deep chequering & is virtually if not literally, unmarked.
