Colt King Cobra

1987 Colt King Cobra .357 Magnum — Deep Royal Blue, 6" Barrel — Genuine Safe Queen

Offering a superb example of the original-run Colt King Cobra, manufactured in 1987 in Colt's deep royal blue carbon steel finish with the 6" barrel — one of the less common configurations from this discontinued line (Colt only produced the blued finish during the 1986–1992 run; later production was stainless only).

Colt double-action revolvers are genuinely rare on the Australian market. Import volumes were always modest compared to the more common Smith & Wesson and Ruger revolvers, and Australia's tightened handgun import controls since the 1996 National Firearms Agreement have made securing one here harder still particularly in this blued finish, which was never part of Colt's later production runs. Opportunities to buy one in this condition don't come up often.

This example has spent almost its entire life as a genuine safe queen, held in a private collector's vault rather than carried or used. It presents in as-new condition throughout, with the bore and barrel in particular showing none of the wear you'd expect from a gun this age a true reflection of how little it's actually been handled or fired.
