LITHGOW No.1 MkIII made in 1940
This rifle has been 'through the Wars' (WW2).
Enough to be refurbished in 11/44 and 7/45.
Cons:
Bore is in poor condition, and top front handguard has cracked thru under outer barrel band.
Only noticeable when dismantled.
Pros:
All matching numbers on action, bolt, nose cap, and rear sight.
Fitted with a MA41 magazine cut-off, probably retrofitted since '45.
Wood and metal work in really good original condition.
Barrel has been filled with graphite grease, visible in photos at muzzle and breach.
Very hard to find a matching 1940 in any condition.
This is one for the collector
Shipping is $50
