1902 Carl Gustafs Swedish Mauser Model 1896 (m/96), chambered in 6.5×55mm Swedish.
An early Swedish military rifle retaining its original barrel and military-pattern timber. The receiver and bolt carry matching serial number 390.
The bore is in very good condition for its age, rather than as-new. The timber presents well, with attractive grain and age-appropriate handling marks. Metalwork shows some normal finish wear.
Features include a Metallverken Västerås micrometer-style target rear sight, brass military stock inspection disk with legible markings, and sling.
The photographs document the rifle's markings, exterior condition and bolt components. The receiver and bolt numbers match; matching numbers throughout the remaining smaller components have not been established.
Inspection and transfer through a licensed firearms dealer in accordance with NSW requirements.
