For sale, on consignment, a classic BRNO model ZG47 bolt action repeating rifle in .270 Winchester.
Made in Czechoslovakia in 1957, this rifle is good condition commensurate with age. Good bore - bright and clean with sharp rifling. Crisp trigger. Smooth bolt action feed and ejects flawlessly.
The walnut stock has a Monte Carlo comb and right hand cheekpiece - slight loss of chequer.
24" or 61cm faded tapered blue steel barrel with ramped bead foresight and fixed rear standing express sight.
The Brno ZG47 is one of the best Model 98-type rifles ever made.
The ZG47 action is flat on top, with the bridge lower than the ring, and has integral dovetails for scope mounting.
The bolt sleeve has a rotary-type safety allowing the use of a low-mounted scope.
The all-steel five round magazine has a hinged floorplate and latch inside the front of the trigger guard, Oberndorf-style.
