The Tikka T3x platform is engineered around accuracy, reliability and durability. The action uses a rigid two-lug bolt with a smooth 70° bolt throw, while the stainless barrel is cold-hammer forged and threaded into the receiver. Tikka also hand-crowns its barrels and factory-tests its rifles for accuracy, specifying a maximum 1 MOA three-shot group at 100 metres.
The 20" 1:8-twist .223 configuration is particularly versatile, providing the ability to stabilise heavier .224-calibre projectiles while retaining a useful barrel length for a field rifle.
