Genuine, Refurbished, No.4(T) Sniper rifle and No.32 MkI scope.
Obtained the No.32 scope and 1945 dated No.4(T) barrelled action from Lawrance Ordnance, who purchased over a 100 of these from India. All of them were stamped 'DP' from when they were stripped for storage.
Even the No32 Scopes had mounts removed and were stored in drums where they suffered corrosion from water.
This scope has been beautifully refurbished by Optical Repairs in Brisbane, and has the original sun shade (albeit stiff to move).
Matching serial numbers on barrel and action, and all the correct stampings representing a No.4(T) inc. TR, T, and S.
Stamped with 'M47C, wartime code for BSA Shirley.
Most of the original blueing has been worn off.
Barrel is bright, shiny, and stops a .3025 gauge (hardly used).
Bolt is a cleanskin with a correctly head-spaced bolt head.
Meticulously rebuilt from original new old-stock wood and metal parts. The forestock, hand guards and butt stock match nicely.
Correct rear sight fitted with battle aperture removed.
Only the scope mount, leather cover, and cheek piece are reproductions, imported from Waffenmeister's Bunker in the US.
Fitted with a long Bren gun sling.
Rifle has been properly inspected and test fired by a gunsmith.
A particularly nice example of an old original WW2 sniper rifle.
Shipping is $50 dealer to dealer.
